At #5, Hercules Technology Growth Capital is a finance company focused on providing senior secured loans to venture capital-backed companies in technology-related markets, including technology, biotechnology, life science, energy and renewables technology industries. Co. invests primarily in structured debt with warrants and, to a lesser extent, in senior debt and equity investments. Co. invests primarily in private companies but also has investments in public companies. Co. also makes investments in qualifying small businesses through its two wholly-owned small business investment company subsidiaries, Hercules Technology II, L.P. and Hercules Technology III, L.P.

At #3, Markwest Energy Partners is engaged in the gathering, processing and transportation of natural gas; the gathering, transportation, fractionation, storage and marketing of natural gas liquids; and the gathering and transportation of crude oil. Co. conducts its operations in the following operating segments: Marcellus, which provides natural gas midstream services in southwestern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia; Utica, which provides gathering, processing, fractionation and marketing services in eastern Ohio; Northeast, which has operations in Kentucky, southern West Virginia and Michigan; and Southwest, which includes the operations of its processing facilities in Corpus Christi, TX.

At #1, Royal Dutch Shell is an independent oil and gas company based in the Netherlands. Co. and its subsidiaries are engaged in the principal aspects of the oil and gas industry in over 80 countries. Such countries include Australia, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, China, Denmark, Germany, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Qatar, Russia, the U.K., the U.S. Co. is also engaged in bringing new oil and gas supplies on-stream from major field developments. Co. is investing in growing its gas-based business through liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas-to-liquids (GTL) projects. In addition, Co. has a diversified and balanced portfolio of refineries and chemical plants.
